VJ SANDEEL JIGS are a simple yet effective jig that has been deadly when the fish are on nothing but sandeels! The thin, long design is the replica of a sandeel and will draw in fish on those days when the fish are feeding on nothing but sandeels.
VJ Sandeels are rigged with an assist hook from the manufacturer that will work for inshore applications, but we do sugest replacing the factory hook with a heavier hook if you intend to use them offshore for larger fish. The standard hook has worked just fine on striped bass up to 45lbs here in our waters. But again, as fishermen ourselves, we do reccomend upgrading the hook for tuna!
The VJ Sandeel is an inexpensive jig that is a fraction of the cost of most other jigs. Designed to be light, fast and effective when sandeels are the dominant bait.
The VJ Sandeel is available in 2 sizes. 6" - 65 grams and 6.5" - 85 grams.
